DAY 13

A new wanderer in the land appears, a Pilgrim resting his weary feet at the Inn. He has a staff obtained from the Soldiers, and a single spell to his name, with his Magic I6* chit enchanted to white magic. A campfire in the Great Woods calls him, where he finds an Elf just finishing his loot of the once-large treasure pile. Elf tells him a strange tale of the great Witch-King who has just traveled south in the form of a Frog to the far-off Mountains. This would be almost too much to believe, if it weren't for the sight of the Elf's Ogre companion happily throwing sticks into the fire.

Captain and Wizard safely make it over the mountain pass, and are met by Eduinae coming up the other side. Alas, the Amazon has placed the Dragon back in their path again, though she herself is nearly safely down the path. The Magician ventures up into the Crag, attracting a few dragons of his own, while the White Knight rides to rejoin his companion. In another part of the Realm, the Swordsman positions his army well to attack the monstrous Spider in the evening, only to have the loud clanking of so large an army attract both of the nearby Dragons as well, allowing the Sorceror to slip through to the treasure sites beyond.

And in the evening, there was much running from Dragons, and even a Pilgrim backing quietly out of a clearing with a hidden Elf, lying in ambush, he wonders? Though the Swordsman ran away, er, created a diversion, his well-chosen army fought an epic and spectacular battle, vanquishing three tremendous monsters in one evening.

Sunset

Swordsman dodges past the Spider to yell directions to his army, but unfortunately only half are hidden, and the Dragons advance on the brave Company. Rogues, being more stealthy by nature, hide behind the ruins, trying to decide if they can be of any help to their comrades.

Eduinae settles down for some serious negotiations with the Wizard over the Eye of the Moon while the Captain makes stew. Further down the mountain, the Amazon settles in for an uneasy night with the Dragon nearby.

Sorceror spends his evening contemplating which of the two treasure sites rumored to be in this area he should try to find first.

Magician watches the two flying Dragons in fascination, wishing he could make one of these his familiar. Watching the scene from down below, the White Knight wishes only that he could sink his Bane Sword into some dragon flesh.

The Elf and the Pilgrim trade tales of the strangest things they have seen on their travels.

The Witch-King spends a lonely night in the Mountain, tired of being a Frog already. That was a long hop!
